DALZIEL + SCULLION
Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion work as a collaborative partnership and are based at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee. Their work is often concerned with how people interact with nature.
The following are some images of their film ‘Water Falls Down’, 2001. The film is comprised of three parts with the final section documenting a baptism at sea filmed near the village of St Combs where they used to live. One of the photos is of the installation of this video in a gallery context which is how it has been shown before.
Dalziel + Scullion have exhibited widely internationally and have completed some major commissions and exhibitions within Scotland. These include ‘More Than Us’ a large scale permanent photographic art work for Great Glen House the new headquarters of Scottish Natural Heritage, Inverness and a solo exhibition at the Fruitmarket Gallery in Edinburgh during 2001 where this piece was first show.
